Manchester City meets Chelsea again in the 2022-2023 FA Cup, Pep Guardiola refuses to be arrogant. In fact, The Citizens – nicknamed Manchester City – have just beaten Chelsea in the 2022-2023 Premier League.
Manchester City will meet The Blues – nicknamed Chelsea – at the Etihad Stadium, Sunday 8 January 2023. Previously, they successfully defeated Graham Potter’s squad with a score of 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, Friday 6 January 2023.
The Citizens are certainly the favourites in this fight. Especially now that he will be appearing in front of his own public which clearly adds to the confidence of the Man City players. Despite having good capital, Guardiola still doesn’t take it for granted.
The Spaniard thinks that Graham Potter as Chelsea coach will play a different strategy from his last meeting. This is because of the storm of injuries that haunted his squad.
“It could be a very different game, maybe Graham changed his shape, I don’t know,” said Guardiola, quoted from the official Manchester City website, Sunday (8/1/2023).
“I know they are struggling with injuries with two or three important players,” he continued.
“Jorginho wasn’t there and Mason Mount wasn’t there. I don’t know the reason,” he added. Chelsea has been in a bad shape recently. Apart from being defeated by Manchester City at home, they have also won just one win in the last five matches, namely over Bournemouth with a score of 2-0.
