Manchester United have been linked a summer move for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale recently as the club search for attacking options. The Red Devils also want to sign the Wales on a season-long loan but also have the option to extend it for a further year.
However it is understood that the club are quite realistic on their chances of signing Bale and may be forced to look at alternatives to the former Tottenham Hotspur star.
United fans will be eager to see more youth brought through, either in the transfer market or from the academy. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he wants to buy up to four high quality signings this summer as he looks to significantly strengthen his squad.
Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane on the other hand, he wants Bale to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer as he is looking to overhaul his squad and the 29-year-old is not part of his plans for next season.
Bale has featured in 40 games this season for Real Madrid being directly involved in 16 goals in all competitions – 11 goals and 5 assists.
Since joining the Spanish giants in 2013, Gareth Bale has had a multitude of set backs halting his progress. His 2018/19 season was ended in March by a serious calf injury, leaving his future uncertain.
Madrid has signed five players this summer, the cumulative cost reached £ 344m, but this is not the end of the Galaxy battleship, they still hope to recruit United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.

According to reports, Pogba’s transfer is on track, despite a contract running until 2022. Zidane has described his fellow as a truly different player and admitted he would love to bring Pogba to Madrid.
“I really like this player and it’s not new. I know him personally, so I can talk about it naturally. He is a footballer different from others. He is one of those who bring to the field what few players are able to bring.” Zidane said.
“There are midfielders who know how to defend, others who know how to attack, attackers who know how to defend. He knows how to do everything,” Zidane added.
