Manchester United slipped in week 35 of the 2023/2024 Premier League. Facing Burnley, the Red Devils were forced to draw with a score of 1-1.
In this match, Man United took the lead through Antony’s goal. However, Burnley was able to equalize thanks to Zaki Amdouni’s penalty.
Thanks to this result, Manchester United is stuck in sixth place with 54 points. Meanwhile, this additional one point means Burnley is still stuck in 19th place.

In the remainder of the first half, Burnley made more threats, but the score remained 0-0 until halftime.
Entering the second half, the match was fierce. Both teams immediately traded attacks from the start of the match.
The first dangerous chance in the second half was created by Antony in the 52nd minute, but his shot was too weak to be saved by Muric.
Both teams created some good chances. However, unfortunately both teams’ final finishing was less than optimal so no goals were scored until the 75th minute.
In the 79th minute, disaster struck Burnley. Starting from Sander Berge who made the wrong pass, Antony quickly grabbed the ball, ran into the penalty box, then fired a low shot which broke into Burnley’s goal. The Red Devils are 1-0 ahead of the visitors.
In the 85th minute, Manchester United were awarded a penalty after Andre Onana made a mistake when trying to anticipate Casemiro’s header so that his hand hit the Burnley player’s face. Amdouni, who was appointed as the executor, successfully carried out his duties well so that the score was again equal at 1-1.
After conceding, Manchester United tried to press. They bombarded Burnley’s goal, but the score remained 1-1.
