MotoGP 2025 will open with the Thailand series at the Buriram Circuit.
Jorge Martin will be absent from the 2025 MotoGP Thailand series. The Spanish rider who is now part of the Aprilia Racing team has just undergone surgery for a left hand injury earlier this week.
Without Martin, the first MotoGP 2025 series competition will involve other riders. The two figures who are predicted to compete are Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia.
Marc Marquez admitted that he was nervous ahead of his debut with Ducati in the official race in the opening series of MotoGP 2025 at MotoGP Thailand 2025 at the Buriram Circuit, February 28 to March 2.
Marquez’s debut with Ducati will begin with the first free practice (FP1), Friday (28/2) at 09:00.
Marquez has good capital for MotoGP Thailand by appearing impressively during the preseason test in Sepang and Buriram. Even so, the good results have not eliminated Marquez’s sense of defeat for the opening series later.
“I’m always a little more nervous than I should be for the first race of the season, it’s always a special race,” said Marquez.
“I’m happy to be able to race in Thailand, we arrived here after a good preseason and with a good base, we worked very hard and well with the team,” added Marquez.
The 32-year-old Spanish rider also hopes to get good results in his debut race with Ducati.
After joining the Ducati factory team, Marquez is said to be one of the strong candidates for the 2025 MotoGP champion.
“Racing, it’s true, is a different thing, you have to pay attention to all the details, but I really want to start and do well, this will certainly help for the season,” said Marquez.
Marc Marquez has a good record in MotoGP Thailand. The former Honda rider is a two time MotoGP Thailand champion, the most records to date.
