Manchester United player, Marcus Rashford, again failed to score a goal when the Red Devils played against Crystal Palace in the seventh week of the 2023-2024 Premier League. Seeing this condition, Man United coach, Erik Ten Hag, was not worried and still believed that Rashford could recover and score lots of goals for the Red Devils.
Yes, Rashford has only scored one goal so far in the 2023-2024 season. Most recently he failed to score a goal when Man United lost 0-1 to Palace at Old Trafford Stadium, on Saturday 30 September 2023.
Marcus Rashford was in the spotlight in this match. His action was considered enough to make many Red Devils fans angry.
However, Ten Hag remains optimistic about the 25 year old striker. He believes Rashford can be better in the future.
Ten Hag also advised Rashford to continue working hard. The reason is that this cannot be achieved automatically.
Rashford needs to learn a lot to absorb knowledge from the colleagues around him. This effort can help him to improve his self-quality.
“I think he (Rashford) knows he can do better than he is doing now and I’m sure that will happen,” said Ten Hag, quoted from the Manchester Evening News, Sunday (1/10/2023).
“He works hard and that’s what he does. He will score goals, he will finish and it will happen but it won’t happen automatically,” he continued. “He has to invest a lot, the team has to invest a lot around him.
Today, we were in the right position but the decision making was not good enough and then we didn’t score goals,” concluded the bald-headed coach. As is known, Rashford is one of the players mainstay of the Red Devils. However, in the latest match, his action was considered to have decreased on the field.
Rashford seemed to make many mistakes during the match. He also took too long to carry out individual actions which created more opportunities for mistakes.
