However, today there is sad news for the fans of Andy Murray that he is out from the top ten at US Open. This turnout has taken place today that Andy Murray is now out from US Open after the victory of Marin Cilic. This is for the first time since 2008 that Andy Murray has been dropped down. Now as per the latest ranking Andy Murray is at number 11 and now after his slip it is reported that Murray would be up for World Tour Finals London in November. As the place is now taken up by Marin Cilic and now the news is up that he has finally taken up the title of US Open Championship.
After the victory at US Open Challenge Cilic said, “I feel it’s very inspirational for all the other players out there that are working hard and sometimes losing motivation. I would definitely feel much stronger if I would see somebody like me accomplish things like this”
This time Cilic has made his name by beating champion Tomas Berdych, Andy Murray, Federer and Nishikori. Without even dropping a single set he has finally earned a big name at US Open challenge.
After defeating the world tennis champions Cilic said, “I think the guys from the second line were a bit lucky because Andy Murray was also having trouble with his back; [Stan] Waurika was up and down with his tennis after Australia; few other players were not playing at the best all the time, and Rafa is not here, so that opened the gate a little bit for everybody else. I feel it’s going to definitely be much bigger competition from next year”
After winning the title Cilic has devoted his fame to Goran Ivanisevic. Goran Ivanisevic was the former champion of Wimbledon. On getting beaten by Cilic, Nishikori expressed his feelings by marking US Open Challenge as the worst defeat of his life. Cilic during his winning speech said, “I’m really happy to make a lot of history and great compliments. Hopefully I can win next time and have some more good results like this.”
With this victory, Cilic has earned much name just at 16 and now the expectations of fans from him are pretty much high.
