Matic Predicts Man United Will Face Trouble Against Man City

Manchester United midfielder, Nemanja Matic, considers Manchester City to be a very good team and has the potential to complicate the Red Devils in the Manchester Derby in the 2018/2019 Premier League event with takes place at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday (11/10).

After a win over Juventus in an away match in the Champions League, Man United will travel to rival headquarters in the 12th week of the Premier League.

Matic considered the Citizens to be performing with a performance that has produced victory after victory, but the Serbian midfielder is also optimistic that Man United can provide resistance.

“I look forward to a difficult match. They are a very good team, they play good football, they score a lot of goals in every game, but we also have quality,” Matic was quoted as saying by Man United’s official website.

“We have to stop their offensive attacks, there are ways to do it and the manager knows that. We will be prepared to face the match. I look forward to a fierce match, but in a derby match everything can happen, and we are ready for that,” he continued.

Man United recorded impressive results. After losing to Juventus at Old Trafford, the Red Devils won in the last three matches.

Matic also hopes Man United’s positive trend can continue when facing Man City.

“I think we are more than believing that we are a good team, we have also grown and we are mentally stronger,” said the former Chelsea player.

“I think in the last four [English] League games we won three wins and one draw, it gave us confidence, but we deserve it and will try to continue it,” Matic added.

Matic is optimistic his team can silence the neighbors with Jose Mourinho’s unique tactics. Matic realizes that the attacking line of the Citizens is the main scourge for his team, but he believes Jose Mourinho already has a formula to dampen the game of The Citizens.

“We must be able to reduce their attack line. There are ways to turn off their attacks and our managers know how.”

In the previous derby at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester United managed to win dramatically over The Citizens with a score of 3-2 after trailing 2-0 first.

Man United are currently seventh in the English League with collection of 20 points, nine points behind Man City, who lead the standings.
