Max Marquez drives towards MotoGP championship leadership as he represents the Ducati Lenovo Team at the 2025 season.
At the Thai Grand Prix, Marquez delivered an outstanding race to claim first position which established him as one of the main competitors for the championship.
“The last time I felt like this on a bike, Jerez 2020. It was the last time I felt super good. All the pre-season, not only here.” Marquez said.
“For me it was more important Malaysia test than here [in Thailand] because Malaysia is a tricky circuit for me, and I felt super good.” Marquez added.
Marquez teams up with his teammate Francesco Bagnaia within the racing team. Both riders depend on working together for their desired results in the championship competition.
Marquez leads the MotoGP standings with his total of 37 points whereas Bagnaia has accumulated 23 points. He leads his competition at the beginning of the title contest.
The Spaniard rider expressed the experience of the 2025 Thai GP weekend to be his best biking performance since the memorable 2020 Spanish GP at Jerez.
“So, since Jerez 2020 I haven’t felt like this. I feel calm, I feel relaxed. I don’t know, I can’t explain.” Marquez said.
“But the key point is I’m riding because I’m enjoying this work. I’m not riding to achieve a goal. I achieved many things already in my life.” Marquez said.
“And now I understand I will enjoy it. If I can fight for the championship until the end and it arrives, it’s welcome. If not, it will not change me.” he added.
The outstanding race performance demonstrated Marquez’s exceptional talents in competition and created a positive momentum for his upcoming season.
The track issues and racing environment did not affect Marquez’s ability to stay focused on maintaining his composure which revealed his readiness to win the championship title.
