Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Kylian Mbappe threatened to beat Barcelona when the two titan teams met in the Champions League quarter-finals, Thursday (11/4/2024) early morning West Indonesia Time.
PSG will host Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals at the Parc des Princes Stadium. This match is one of the big matches in the Champions League quarter-finals that will occured this week.
This match could be challenging for the host after being held by Clermont 1-1 in the French League. However, PSG striker Kylian Mbappe guaranteed that he would be a threat for the Blaugrana.
“This is the time for great players,” Mbappe told Telefoot as quoted by Marca.
“I’m ready and, as usual, I won’t hide,” Mbappe added.
Mbappe believes that the previous unsatisfactory results in the French League will not have an impact on Les Parisiens’ performance when facing representatives from the Spanish League.
“Seeing the dynamics we have, I am sure we will give everything, then the result, it is in God’s hands,” said Mbappe.
“Like every year, we are entering an important period of the season. At the end of April, we already have the elements to know what kind of season we can have,” Mbappe continued.
On the other hand, Bayer Munich will be hosted by Arsenal the day before PSG’s match against Barcelona.
Bayern Munich director Max Eberl is worried that his team will be beaten by Arsenal in this match if they are unable to recover from their downturn in the German Bundesliga.
Bayern will undergo the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals at Arsenal’s home ground, Emirates Stadium, Wednesday (10/4/2024) early morning West Indonesian time.
Arsenal and Munich are in opposite conditions ahead of the match. Arsenal won the last two matches in the Premier League, or are unbeaten in seven consecutive matches in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Bayern have lost twice in a row in the German League, most recently being humiliated by newly promoted mid-table team Heidenheim 2-3, last weekend.
