UFC star Conor McGregor is less than a day away in the mega-bout Showtime Pay-Per-View with five weight world champion Floyd Mayweather at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.
Then, on September 16 in the same venue, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will fight IBF, WBA, IBO, WBC and middleweight king Genady “GGG” Golovkin.
Golovkin, who has an unbeaten professional record with 37 wins and 33 knockouts was back in March when he beat American boxer Daniel Jacobs by unanimous points decision. Before that, he defeated Kell Brook with a fifth-round technical knockout.
Former welterweight and super welterweight champion, Alvarez comes into the fight with a similarly impressive record. His only defeat came by decision at the hands of American boxer Maywether.
McGregor, who will make his professional debut in boxing ring, claimed that he is not a big fan of Canelo or Golovkin. He said he is not impressed with Canelo’s skill and he expects Golovkin not to be in his best physical form after his training camp.
“As for Canelo and Golovkin, I’m not really a fan of either one or the other. I think Canelo lacks a little mobility, he is a bit flat on his feet. When I watch his videos, I see him just getting peppered, he has no set of feet.” McGregor said.
“Golovkin, I think he started his camp for his preparation in bad form. It made me feel like a bad guy in Big Bear and I saw him as a drained guy,” McGregor added.
However, the Irish fighters said that he wants to see super fight between Vasyl Lomachenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux. The two boxers are ready to reach an agreement to finally have a clash on December 9, at Madison Square Garden, New York.

And it will be a dream fight to see Rigondeaux make the leap of two weight divisions to challenge Lomachhenko with WBO super feather title at stake. And McGregor also salivates at the thought of seeing such a fight.
“But I like the lighter guys [Lomachenko and Rigondeaux], it’s a fight I want to see.” McGregor said to media. “Gervonta Davis is ok, he is also very good and a very strong young guy. Maybe he still needs one or two more fights, and then might well get into the mix.” he added.
