The progressions will take a number of interior ignition motors every driver has utilized so far this season to 11 when they were allowed just five.

Honda has battled with both execution and unwavering quality with the sport’s intricate new turbo crossover motors in its first season back in F1 since 2008.

Alonso’s motor endured an issue in the end laps of a weekend ago’s race in Austin, Texas, which was instrumental in dropping him from the fifth spot with seven laps to go to an inevitable eleventh, out of the focuses.

Honda said that was brought about by an injector issue, which has now been settled, yet that he was being given another motor for vital reasons.

Honda needs both drivers to have two of the new-spec motors accessible for the staying three races this season, and they realize that the Mexican race will be a troublesome one for them – so the group wants to take the framework punishments at a track where they are not expecting a decent result in any occasion.

The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez track has a high rate of full throttle over the lap and the high height puts the motors under more strain than at whatever another circuit on the schedule.

“It will be a very difficult weekend for us because of the altitude,” said Button. “Because of our compressor, it’ll hurt us more than other teams.”

The compressor has been one of the greatest shortcomings of the Honda motor.
