The first two episodes of the documentary ‘The Last Dance’ which involved the last season of the Chicago Bulls era of Michael Jordan in the 1997/1998 NBA season received tremendous acclaim.
The first stage of ‘The Last Dance’ discussed many things, ranging from Chicago Bulls general manager Jerry Krause who was criticized for being unable to maintain the Bulls dynasty. Krause received criticism from fans after not being able to defend Phil Jackson after the 1997/1998 season. As a result Jordan prefers to retire if not trained by Jackson.
Quoted from USA Today, Bulls fame is also discussed in the first two episodes. Bulls squad is likened to the Beatles. Even the former president of the United States, Barack Obama, admitted that he had difficulty getting tickets to the Bulls match since Jordan joined the team.
Jordan also discusses the figure of Scottie Pippen in this episode. In addition Jordan also expressed resentment towards the Bulls when dealing with foot injuries that occurred in the 1985/1986 season.
Two episodes of ‘The Last Dance’ received an extraordinary reception on social media. Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson claimed to be very impressed with the first two episodes.

‘The Last Dance’ is an ESPN 10-hour documentary produced by Netflix. ESPN used the 500-hour recording they got from Jordan’s last season with the Bulls in the NBA in 1997/1998.
At that time ESPN had access for one season to the ‘behind the scenes’ of the Bulls squad after it was certain the team would break after Jackson decided to resign after the 1997/1998 season. Jackson took the decision after the Bulls confirmed the NBA title 1996/1997 season.
Originally ‘The Last Dance’ was scheduled to begin airing June 2020. However, ESPN and Netflix decided to advance the showtimes. Episodes three and four ‘The Last Dance’ will be held April 26, episodes five and six on May 3, episodes seven and eight on May 10, and the last two episodes air on May 17.
