Inter Milan could only draw against Monza in the fourth week of Serie A 2024/2025 at the Stadio Brianteo, Sunday (15/09/2024).
In the first half, Inter appeared dominant. In the second half, Monza remained under pressure but they almost made the Nerrazurri go home with a defeat.
Monza’s goal was scored by Dany Mota. Meanwhile, Inter’s goal was scored by Denzel Dumfries.
This result made Inter collect eight points and is now in second place in the 2024/2025 Italian League standings. Then Monza is in 15th position with a collection of three points from four matches.
At the beginning of the first half, Monza and Inter Milan immediately attacked each other. Inter got a chance from Dimarco’s shot in the sixth minute but the ball missed the target.

In the second half, Inter Milan got a chance from Marcus Thuram’s header in the 51st minute, after receiving a cross from Pavard. But the ball missed to the left of the goal.
Inter, who were still having difficulty breaking down Monza’s defense, then tried to change their tactics. They made substitutions about 10 minutes into the match.
The duel then went tough. Monza also changed their tactics and then got a chance from Djuric’s mark in the 69th minute, after receiving a pass from Maldini. But the ball still went wide to the left of the goal.
Monza was finally able to score first in the 81st minute. Dano Mota welcomed Armando Izzo’s cross in the middle of the penalty box. The ball failed to be saved by Sommer. 1-0!

Monza’s striker, Milan Djuric, deserved to be given the Man of the Match award in the match against Inter Milan.
In this match, Monza was almost speechless when attacking. They only recorded five attempts at goal and only two were on target.
However, the performance of their striker, Milan Djuric, was quite prominent. The 34-year-old man was quite troublesome for Inter Milan’s back line.
He at least three times resulted in violations for Monza in Inter’s defense area. Djuric is also very skilled at high balls and won many times in aerial duels.
