Alma Pramac Racing team, announced the signing of Francesco Bagnaia to ride for the Ducati team for 2019 and 2020 season.And he will make his MotoGP debut in the 2019 season, according to reports.
The Italian rider, who is currently leading in the Moto2 championship standings, will replace current Pramac rider Danilo Petrucci next season.
Petrucci, announced that his partnership with Pramac-Ducati will be discontinued at the close of the 2018 season. He admitted that he could have made his factory move to Aprilia next season.
Aprilia made a very good offer for Perrucci last season, and they also offered to have a very competitive bike and competitive team for the Italian rider.
“Alma Pramac Racing announced it has reached an agreement with Francesco Bagnaia for the 2019 and 2020 MotoGP seasons,” a Pramac team statement read.
“The Italian rider, who signed a contract directly with Ducati manufacturer, will step on board Ducati Desmosedici GP of Alma Pramac Racing during the next official Valencia tests at the end of the 2018 MotoGP season.” Pramac added.
Bagnaia has posted his happiness on his twitter account after signing a two-year deal with the Italian manufacturer and hoping to do a good job with the team.
“What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to ride a Ducati in MotoGP. Today, I grew up and I will ride a Ducati in MotoGP in 2019. Thanks to Ducati, Pramac Racing Team, Sky Racing Team, VR Riders Academy.” Bagnaia posted.

After four seasons in the Moto3 category championship Bagnaia moved up to Moto2 category championship in 2017 with the Valentino Rossi backed Sky Vr46 team. He scored three podiums on his way to top rookie honours in fifths in the championship standings.
The 21-year-old Italian rider took his debut Moto2 triumph after holding of Pons HP40’s rider Lorenzo Baldassari for the top spot in the opening round of the 2018 season in Qatar.
Following his good result in Qatar Grand Prix, Bagnaia hoped to do his best in the next round of the 2018 Moto2 season on April 9 in Termas de Rio Hondo, Argentina.
