MotoGP Valencia 2019 Is a Bonus For Fabio Quartararo

Petronas Yamaha SRT driver, Fabio Quartararo, said that whatever the results he got at Valencia MotoGP this week, it will not affect his opinion about this season.

It can’t be denied, Fabio Quartararo underwent a great inaugural season at this 2019 MotoGP. Although not won yet, the appearance of the French rookie still deserves thumbs up.

Six podiums that he successfully secured until the end of the Malaysian MotoGP some time ago seemed to be a valid proof of Quartararo’s mastery of riding the ‘iron horse’. Not surprising that caliber racer Marc Marquez – who incidentally is the 2019 MotoGP champion – also gave sky-high appreciation to Quartararo.

Marquez did not even hesitate to call Quartararo his rival in the hunt for next year’s world title.

This season’s MotoGP competition has entered the final round by holding the final race series at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia. Just like in previous races, Quartararo is also one of the drivers whose actions are eagerly awaited.

However, this time the racer nicknamed El Diablo will come to Valencia with no positive capital. Quartararo’s success in reaching the runner-up position in a row in MotoGP Thailand and MotoGP in Japan is not continued in the last two race series.

At the Phillip Island Circuit, Quartararo crashed during the first round. Whereas at Sepang Circuit he was only able to finish seventh despite winning pole position.

Quartararo said his feelings after diving two races that are quite heavy. “Indeed, two weeks ago was quite difficult. But I don’t want to think too much about it,” said El Diablo when met at the EICMA event last week.

“However, I am grateful that now I can train again to prepare myself for (MotoGP) Valencia,” Quartararo said.

Quartararo also admitted that he did not want to bother with the results he got at Valencia tomorrow. “I think this season will not change only by the results I got at Valencia,” Quartararo said.

“Racing will become a bonus for me. I will certainly be happy if the results are good. But even if it’s not, there is no problem,” he added.

According to the 20-year-old racer also, the experience he got from going through 18 race series so far has made him learn many things. That is why Quartararo seemed “ignorant” in welcoming Valencia MotoGP this weekend.

The Ricardo Tormo circuit is known as a circuit that is not very suitable for Yamaha riders like Quartararo. Statistics show that the last Yamaha rider who was able to lock the win on the circuit was Jorge Lorenzo (2016).

The Honda racer is still the king of the circuit which has a track length of 4 kilometers by packing nine wins in the main class.

According to the schedule, the Valencia MotoGP series will begin on Friday (11/15/2019) with two free practice sessions.
