Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel praised his two players who performed brilliantly in the match against FC Porto in the first leg of the 2020-2021 Champions League quarter-finals. The two players are Ben Chilwell and Mason Mount who managed to contribute goals in that match.

Chelsea managed to reap sweet results when playing an away match against FC Porto in the first leg of the 2020-2021 Champions League quarter-finals. Playing at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, Sevilla, Spain, Thursday (8/4/2021) early morning WIB, The Blues-nicknamed Chelsea- won with a score of 2-0.

The opening goal for Chelsea’s advantage was scored by Mason Mount in the 32nd minute. Meanwhile, the second goal was created by Ben Chilwell’s action in the 85th minute.

After the match was held, Tuchel said he was satisfied to see the neat performance of the two players. For Mount, for him, the player scored a very important goal to spark more enthusiasm for Chelsea in this match.

“I am very happy that he (Mount) scored a goal. It was a very important goal, an away goal and it opened the game for us,” said Tuchel, as quoted from the official UEFA website, Thursday (8/4/2021).

“That (Mount’s goal) calmed everyone down. It was not an easy shot, but it was very precise and he made the right decision at that moment, “he continued.

As for Chilwell, Tuchel was amazed by the calmness of the player in scoring goals in this lag. It is hoped that Ben Chilwell’s positive performance will continue to other matches.

“He (Chilwell) was calm when he scored. He passed the goalkeeper. It was important to get the second away goal. We lacked a bit of rhythm in attack, but there were always chances and Chilwell remained calm,” said Tuchel.

“Not a regular goalscorer, but I’m very happy we went with this result. It’s a fantastic result. We need to keep going, “he explained.

Now, Chelsea is certain to appear more confident in the 2020-2021 Champions League quarter-final second leg. The match will take place at the same place, namely the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, on April 14, 2021
