Jose Mourinho thinks Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp does not deserve the title of Best FIFA Coach 2020. According to the Tottenham Hotspur tactician, Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick deserves the award more than Klopp.
Klopp is back in the top three candidates for the title of Best FIFA Coach 2020. Klopp competes with Leeds United coaches, Marcelo Bielsa and Hans-Dieter Flick.
Klopp finally won the Best FIFA Coach award in 2020 defeating two other candidates. The award is presented to Klopp during the awards ceremony held at FIFA headquarters, Nyon, Switzerland on Friday 18 December.
The German coach’s achievements in the 2019-2020 season were indeed brilliant. Klopp managed to present the English League title for Liverpool, after waiting for 30 years.
Klopp’s success in winning the 2020 FIFA Best Coach award repeated his achievements last year. He beat Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino.
However, Klopp’s achievements received harsh criticism from Mourinho. He said it should be Hansi Flick, who got the title of best FIFA coach this year because according to him Flick’s achievement with Bayern Munich was better than Liverpool.
Last season’s flick succeeded in bringing Bayern Munich to the Champions League and Bundesliga (German League) titles. Not only that, the Klopp compatriot also won the DFB Pokal (German Cup), European Super Cup and German Super Cup. In total, Bayern Munich have lifted five trophies in 2019.
“I think the only chance for Flick to win is that Bayern find two or three new competitions to win!” Mourinho said quip Klopp’s victory in winning the 2020 FIFA Best Coach, quoting the Mirror, Saturday (19/12/2020).
“So maybe if he wins seven titles in one season, maybe he wins an award.”
“Flick has won the Champions League, Bundesliga, (DFB) Pokal, German Super Cup and UEFA Super Cup. He won five (trophies) and all the big trophies. “
“Poor Flick. I think the only thing Bayern has to win two or three more trophies so he can win it (Best FIFA Coach), “added the coach from Portuga.
