Napoli is firmly at the top of the standings with 25 points. Napoli is seven points ahead of Inter Milan below it. However, Inter has not played the 10th week match. Let’s see the full review below.
Conte really changed the face of Napoli in the 2024/2025 season. Napoli suddenly competed at the top, after struggling last season and finishing in 10th place in the Serie A standings.
“I think I did very, very well at Tottenham. I arrived with the squad in 9th position and we qualified for the Champions League,” said Conte.
Conte coached Tottenham from 2021 to 2023. Before leaving, Conte had made harsh criticism of the club. The Italian said Tottenham did not have the mentality to win trophies.
“I am sure I did the best job possible for Tottenham. I cannot do miracles,” said the former Juventus coach.
As in previous clubs, Conte always brings a ‘wagon’ at the club he coaches. Romelu Lukaku entered Conte’s wagon at Napoli and he performed well, scoring four goals in eight matches in Serie A.
“Romelu Lukaku rejected an offer from a Premier League club to wait for us and join Napoli in August. He really wanted to work with us again and this is fantastic,” said Conte.
“Lukaku is an extraordinary person, a top player,” said Conte. For your information, Conte once worked with Lukaku when he was Inter Milan’s coach. Their collaboration went very well.
Napoli’s decision to bring in new players such as defender Alessandro Buongiorno (Torino), Scottish midfielder duo Scott McTominay (Manchester United) and Billy Gilmour (Brighton), as well as David Neres (Benfica) and Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) for the attack line has proven to be the right move.
With the contribution of these players, Napoli showed brilliant performance in the first 12 matches in all competitions this season.
