MPL ID giant RRQ Hoshi destroyed NAVI’s beautiful debut dream by winning a landslide victory 2-0 in the opening match of MPL ID Season 15, Friday (7/3) afternoon WIB.
Without the main star Skylar who decided to take a break this season, the RRQ team still showed top quality including ToYy who performed brilliantly filling the void in the goldlane role.
RRQ won the first game quickly, they ended the opponent’s resistance in 13 minutes 13 seconds. Victory was achieved even faster by RRQ in the second game which was completed in 12 minutes 20 seconds.
In the interview session after his team suffered a defeat, NAVI analyst Raiden admitted that there were still many weaknesses that his team had to fix in order to compete in the highest caste Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competition in Indonesia.
“This defeat certainly disappointed us. This team is still new with new players so there are not many expectations in week 1 except to provide fierce resistance,” opened Raiden.
“Our game is too free, individual, not like in scrim. Players said the vibes are different so we still need to adapt. Next we have to reset and bond again to improve communication.”
“We were slapped by reality. The team must not be careless, cannot underestimate anything and must be more disciplined. The team’s confidence is good but that is not enough, enthusiasm is not enough, we must be better and pursue better gameplay,” he said.
