For its 22nd release, NBA 2K has decided to pay tribute to the basketball legend Kobe Bryant. Developed by Visual Concept and published by 2K Sport on the National Basketball Association, NBA 2K is a popular basketball simulation video game. Mainly for basketball lovers, this video game never ceases to make people happy and was moreover the best-selling game in the USA in 2019.
Indeed, in addition to the slogan that bears the nickname of the player, the latter will also appear on the cover of the video game. It is also important to remember that Bryant has already featured on the headliner of some previous editions (NBA 2K10 and NBA 2K17).
Nicknamed “Black Mamba”, Bryant was a Los Angeles Lakers player. He was a true basketball legend who unfortunately lost his life on January 26 after a crash that occurred in California. During the same crash, his daughter Gianna and 7 other people lost their lives.
During his career, Bryant left his mark on basketball. Indeed, he leaves behind many titles and records. In particular, he was twice voted best player of the NBA Finals and best player of the regular season in 2008.
For this special edition Bryant will not be the only one to appear on the headliner of the game. Indeed, Darmian Lillard and Zion Williamson will also be in the game.
Born July 15, 1990 in Oakland, California, Lillard is an American rapper and basketball player playing as leader of the Portland Trail Blazzers team from 2012 to the present day. He is the 4th player in NBA history to have registered a Buzzer Beater to win a series of play-offs and has many other accolades to his name.
Meanwhile Williamson is an American basketball player playing as a right ally in the News Orleans Pelicans team. He is a rising star in basketball, he was notably elected Rookie of the month last February and was selected for the Rising Star Challenge.
