Joel Embiid has suffered yet another injury and is out for the Philadelphia 76ers. In the same reports, the star forward of the franchise is reported to be trashing on his left knee.
Therefore, Embiid is likely to be out of action when the Sixers face a three-game road trip against the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.
Currently, the 76ers have been playing without their star player Embiid who has missed the last six games because of a left foot injury.
He was able to shake off the discomfort in the week but the medical team on Thursday confirmed that his knee was swollen. In the tests, the doctors and specialists preferred further treatment.
Embiid should be re-evaluated after a week up to a maximum of ten days. However, there are still no claims that the star will be ready to perform the next week.
All the more so since the Olympic champion pivot himself has suffered numerous injuries to the knee joint.
In his first years of his playing career, Embiid had issues in the region. In February of last season, however, a crack appeared and he required an operation, which limited him to only a few more games for the rest of the season.
Lastly, Embiid played Olympics, and due to swelling, he was out for preseason and early of 2024/25.
The injury, along with others, has kept Embiid out of several Sixers games. So far, he has missed 26 of the team’s games this season.
Without him, the team’s record is 8 wins and 18 losses. Previously the favourite, the 76ers have only 15 wins in 39 games, occupying only 11th place in the East.
It is a sad position for a franchise that was once a fan favourite in the East. Especially after the acquisition of Paul George in the team or the organisation.
The several games without the 2023 MVP, however, have pushed the possibility of the playoffs away.
The former Los Angeles Clippers is demanding greater commitment from the players in the upcoming games, therefore.
