The NBA on Wednesday released the schedule of the All-Star Game and is scheduled to celebrate LeBron James’ record scoring half of the game.
There will be some form of unspecified celebration for the star after a performance by artists Burna Boy, Tems and Rema.
James broke the record for most points in league history on February 7. However, since the Oklahoma City Thunder match he has not played in three of four games. The reason was a foot injury.
The Los Angeles Lakers had their last game before the weekend against the New Orleans Pelicans. In that, the star was on the court for 29 minutes. But, it was only confirmed a few minutes before it started. Finally, he scored 21 points in the 120-102 win.
Therefore, even if LeBron is the captain of an All-Star team, there are still doubts whether he will be able to compete or will only be celebrated for the NBA record. And with the Lakers’ current position, perhaps sparing the athlete from the friendly is for the best.
The team has 27 wins and 32 losses, so it occupies the 13th place in the Western Conference. If he sits out, he won’t need to compete until Feb. 23 against the Golden State Warriors.
The California team, by the way, was one win and two losses with James not playing for the last month. Currently, there are 23 games left for the end of the season and the team hopes to get a place in the playoffs.
After the recent trades, Anthony Davis is confident the team will finish in the top ten in the West. The pivot believes that D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt can change the course of the franchise.
Moreover to Rui Hachimura, Mo Bamba and Davon Reed. On Monday, he spoke to the Lakers Daily portal about the matter.
