Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar has supported Carlo Ancelotti to become the next Brazil head coach.
Carlo Ancelotti has repeatedly been rumoured to take over as coach of the Brazil national team, but the Italian coach insists he wants to honour his contract with Real Madrid.
However, Ancelotti is expected to make it to South America soon, thanks to the consider of the president of the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues.
Neymar has now expressed his opinions on the agreement and is sure that Ancelotti will truly be named the new coach of Brazil.
“We will have the opportunity to have a foreign coach. Ancelotti has won everything and I am sure he will teach us a lot,” the Brazilian striker told TV Band.
Real Madrid is already preparing for Ancelotti to go after the upcoming season as they pursue Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen to replace Carletto due to Alonso’s strong performance in his debut Bundesliga season.
Ancelotti is expected to return to coaching with Real Madrid in July after the end of the summer break. The Italian coach has a contract with Madrid until 2024 with a termination penalty in the agreement.
Several players, including Lucas Paqueta and Marquinhos, were also asked in the mixed zone about the possible appointment of the former Bayern Munich, Everton, and Real Madrid coach, who they praised but were keen not to get too far ahead of themselves.
Ancelotti has worked closely with Brazilian stars Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Brazilian national team have been without a coach since their World Cup exit and lost their first friendly of the year 2-1 to Morocco in March.
U20 head coach Ramon Menezes has taken temporary charge, with the interim boss overseeing a 4-1 win over Guinea in a friendly on Saturday.
