Neymar and Luis Enrique’s assistant, Juan Carlos Unzue, were involved in a heated training row in recent days. The Brazilian striker would have threatened to leave FC Barcelona if Unzue pointed as the coach for next season.
Neymar had a disagreement over tactics and Unzue told him to get his head down and focus on his football. “If you continue like that, you’ll end up like Ronaldinho,” Unzue said to Neymar a week ago during a training season.
In criticizing his lack of professionalism, Unzue puts the Brazilian striker back. If this remark seems to start from a good feeling, since it would be a pity if Neymar had a disappointing career ending like that Ronaldinho, a genius but too party-goer who would have liked to see a longer feast in Europe.
Thus, Mundo Deportivo reveals on Friday that Neymar has threatened to leave the club. “If Unzue stays then I’ll leave,” said the 25-year-old in reference to the possible appointment of the Austrian on the bench after the departure of Luis Enrique at the end of the season.
Internal tensions which Barca would have worked out while the championship title remains in play. At the moment, the Blaugrana are tied with Real Madrid but they played one more match.
Neymar has been linked to Manchester United but the English Premier League club failed to land the Brazilian’s captain to the Old Trafford, while PSG may be an option for his next career. Neymar is also recently involved in allegations of tax fraud about the full fee of his transfer from Santos to Camp Nou in 2013. Neymar and his parents been ordered to Spain court over a 22 million pounds portion of the fee.
Nevertheless, Spanish newspaper believes that the threat of the Brazilian striker would not put too much pressure on his leaders. The choice Unzue would already be virtually eliminated by the Catalan leadership. This episode risks burying this track permanently.

Juan Carlos Unzue and Luis Enrique have worked together at Camp Nou since the former captain took over the reins in 2014. However, the Blaugrana will be hoping that continues for long term, though they equally need to ensure they don’t risk upsetting the player like Neymar further.
