New season, new Nigma Galaxy. This time around Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi, founding member and long time team captain of Nigma won’t be a part of the active roster.
Much like many of the Dota 2 teams, Nigma Galaxy is gearing up for the new season that will start next week with qualifier rounds for BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, and DreamLeague Season 24.
Nigma enteres the qualifier battle on the 23rd of September with former PSG.Quest mid laner Tony “No!ob” Assaf and position 4 support Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi. The former will make a role change in order to fit into the Nigma Galaxy line-up.
According to a post on X, Kuroky won’t be joining the team for the upcoming qualifiers, however, it remains uncertain if he will step in later in the season.
This marks the second time when Nigma will try things out without their long-standing captain. While their pre TI 2024 season was abysmal, Nigma still got a direct invite to the Clavision: Snow Ruyi LAN tournament, which took place in China a month before The International. The team competed there with GH moving to position 5 and L1ga Team’s position 4 support Ivan “OneJey” Zhivitsky standing in. Despite having multiple changes in their roster for that event, Nigma achieved their best placement of the 2023 -2024 season by finishing third after losing in the lower bracket final to Team Spirit.
Moving into the new season, GH will continue to play hard support while OmaR is joining as position 4 support. However, No!ob, his teammate from Quest will switch from mid to offlane at Nigma.
