Auto Bild has reported that Mercedes is ready to release Esteban Ocon for 2020 Formula 1 season.
German manufacturer is reportedly preparing to let go of Ocon from their contractual obligations. He will be joining Renault with Ricciardo for next year season, as media reports suggests.
New reports suggest that Mercedes is likely to announce its new line-up for 2020. Earlier Toto Wolff had rejected the idea of any driver other than Valterri Bottas or Ocon as team mate to five times world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Auto bild reports suggest that Wolff is willing to extend the current relationship with Valterri Bottas.
Wolff had suggested that either Ocon will be taken on board for a Silver Arrow or will be helped to find a place for him at F1 track.
Mercedes is reportedly going to allow Ocon to join Renault alongside Aussie.
Cyril Abiteboul, Renault F1 boss , will be more than willing to take fresh talent on board to enhance his team.
But if the decision is made would leave Nico Hulkenberg to find another place to carry on his career.
The German will have the opportunity to negotiate his position with Haas. Romain Grosjean contract is expected to finish at the end of the season, which might turn out to be an opportunity for Hulkenberg.
This opportunity would lead to two contenders, Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen, at the same team. Both have had harsh racing, which had turn into bad blood between the two.
While answering to an assumption of such a scenario, Dane said he is fine with him and had nothing to hold against Hulkenberg.
“We are opponents on the track and we are not friends,” Magnussen told Auto Motor und Sport.
“Ultimately, I have great respect for Nico and I personally have nothing against him.
“As a person, I don’t know him, but I have never heard anyone talk badly about him.”
