Paolo Rossi was born on 23 September 1956 in Prato City, Italy. Little Rossi started his football career with small Italian clubs, Santa Lucia and San Michelle. Then in the following season, Rossi played for the Juventus U19 team, before finally being loaned to other Italian clubs such as Como and Vicenza. After being bought permanently by Vicenza, Paolo Rossi only performed well in 1 season until he was loaned again to another Italian club, Perugia for 2 seasons.
