Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly starting to move by signing Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah. The Ligue 1 champions are already planning for life without Kylian Mbappe with Salah lined up as a potential replacement.
Mbappe is one of Madrid’s primary targets this summer and he has spoken openly about moving to Santiago Bernabeu to play under his idol, Zinedine Zidane.
Salah, who has a contract until 2023 with the Reds, has already indicated that he could leave the Anfield in this summer.
The Egyptian pleases PSG head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who is looking for fast forwards and fulfilling defensive tasks. In addition, Salah would be a dream of the club’s owners because he could be the first Arab football star sign under the management of Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Since moving to Liverpool from Roma in 2017 Salah has become Liverpool’s talisman and has helped spearhead their charge to numerous pieces of silverware.
Salah has continued to post impressive goalscoring figures throughout his Anfield career and is currently just seven away from his Premier League century with the club, notching 123 across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Reds coach Jurgen Klopp has insisted that his players are loyal to the club and will not leave even if Champions League football is not secured.
“That is nothing we have to worry about. It was always like this. I know we have loyalty from the players.” Klopp said.
Manchester City and PSG competed for the first spot in the Champions League final on Tuesday night and Pep Guardiola’s side got the better of it, winning the clash at Etihad Stadium by 2 – 0. It is the first time in history for City qualify for the Champions League final.
