Heading into the end of the 2021/22 season, Paulo Dybala stands as one of the biggest names who may well be available, with his Juventus future still unclear.
Dybala’s current deal in Turin runs out at the end of the season and he was in talks with the club over a new long term deal.
However, he now looks set to walk for free after Juventus changed the terms on a proposal they made to the Argentine.
Juve CEO Maurizio Arrivabene brought to an end months of speculation when he said that the club had made no offer to Dybala’s representatives during a meeting held earlier in the day in Turin.
“With the arrival of striker (Dusan) Vlahovic in January the footballing structure at the club has changed. Juventu’s project has changed and part of this change included Dybala’s contract which today was not renewed,” Arrivabene said.
Dybala signed for Juventus from Palermo in 2015 and since then has won five Serie A titles and four Italian Cups.
Dybala has received several proposals from his management in recent months. But the case wasn’t really moving forward, which made things very complicated.
Dybala now knows that he’ll have to make a decision soon on his future, long before the summer transfer window comes along.
According to reports, different clubs interested in their possible to sign Dybala in next summer. The list has a good number of top-level teams.
Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester United are among the clubs that have been linked. But reports from France suggest that Paris-Saint-Germain are keen on signing Juventus forward Dybala.
“Dybala Is a big player, but is in the Juventus for the moment. Can interest us, or no. We will see, of here to August is very long the subject,” PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino said.
