Pedro Acosta Confirms Full Tech3 Team Move to KTM for 2025 Season

Pedro Acosta hopes to take as many of his current GASGAS Tech3 crew as possible when he switches to Red Bull KTM in MotoGP next season.

It’s confirmed that Acosta will move to the factory KTM team for 2025, reuniting with the factory after spending his rookie season at their satellite squad Tech3.

“It’s true that I already have a factory bike, factory guys and a KTM factory crew. There is no reason to leave this [Tech3 Racing] team, but there is also no reason not to go to the official KTM factory team.” Acosta said.

“Ultimately, our boys are – as I always say – orange boys, dressed in red clothing. I am therefore more than happy to bring the entire team with me and to be able to continue my current path.” Acosta added.

Acosta has been nurtured by KTM since his early days in grand prix racing, effectively guaranteeing a premier class ride while he was still racing in Moto3 in 2021.

After eight Grand Prix weekends, Acosta holds the fifth position in the championship standings with 101 World Championship points.

It’s highly likely that the Spaniard will join Brad Binder as his teammate in 2025 and take over Jack Miller’s spot within the official KTM MotoGP team.

Brad Binder, the South African rider, is under contract until the end of next season, whereas Jack Miller is among the many riders whose contracts are set to expire at the end of this season.

Binder has extended his contract with KTM until the end of the 2026 season. This marks a two-year extension on top of his current contract, making him a valued part of the KTM family and the ideal ambassador for the team.

Miller, on the other hand, is one of many riders whose contracts expire at the end of the current season.

His future with KTM remains uncertain, and there are discussions about the possibility of him being replaced by the incoming Acosta, despite having a contract that runs through 2024.
