Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho, has reportedly told his Brazil team-mate Neymar Jr that he wanted to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain after the Reds rejecting the La Liga Barcelona at the end of transfer market.
Coutinho was top of Barca’s list to replace Neymar, and he would be extremly keen on moving to Camp Nou and filling the empty left by his fellow. The Catalan club made three time offers for Coutinho, with Barca desperate to bring in reinforcmenets after sending Neymar to PSG.
According to media reports, the 25-year-old midfielder, who is close friends with former Barcelona striker, insisted to play alongside Neymar at the Parc des Princes.
This weekend Neymar admitted that his fellow unhappy and was in a bad place at the Anfield before he suffered a back injury caused by stress and missed 3 matches at Premier League.
“Unfortunetly, instead of being a happy time for Coutinho, for his family, it’s a moment of anguish, disappointment and sadness.” Neymar said.
“I like to see him happy because he is a team-mate and a friend that I’ve had for a long time. He was rewarded with a goal today, for his and our enjoy.” Neymar added.
Neymar joined PSG from Barceloma before the new season with biggest transfer saga, with his current club to pay his 199 million pounds release clause in a move that would shatter all previous transfer record (Paul Pogba from Juventus to Manchester United).
Liverpool were frustrated to learn of Coutinho’s departure as they expected to keeep him stay at English Premier League. They revealed will do everything possible to keep the attacking midfielder at the club.

On the other hand, fomer Liverpool star Luis Garcia claimed that even without Coutinho, Liverpool have made a good form to the Premier League this season. They currently at second in the table standings with seven points.
Coutinho is under contract at Liverpool until 2020. He has been joining the club since January 2013 with 8.5 million pounds but he is yet to make a form for Liverpool after linking to Barcelona.
He scored in Brazil’s 2-0 win against Ecuador in the 2018 World Cup Qualification and he is set to play against Columbia on this September 5, before coming back to Liverpool.
