A Remote Gambling Software Operating License has been awarded by the UK Gambling Commission to Pragmatic Play, a company that specializes in desktop and mobile digital casino gaming content. Owned by the IBID Group, Pragmatic Play is a software provider meeting several gaming needs including table games, classic slots, video poker, video slot and more for casinos operating in the online gaming industry.
Pragmatic Play’s Head of Business Development, Yossi Barzely, commented on the new license by stating that the company is ‘very proud’ to have been entrusted with such licensing by the commission as the gaming market in the United Kingdom is one of the most respected and largest in the world, focusing on regulation, social responsibility and player protection as well as upholding technical standards.
Barzely further stated that the company has a regulatory and technical compliance strategy and the new licensing is a continuation of that strategy which shows the company is quickly becoming the top choice when it comes to significant B2C gaming brands. Current and future customers who are licensed in the United Kingdom will be able to work with Pragmatic Play as they will now be able to offer UK certified gaming products.
Yossi Barzely, Head of Business Development at Pragmatic Play, said: “The UK market is one of the worlds largest and most respected. It has exacting regulation, player protection, social responsibility and technical standards and we are very proud as a business to have been entrusted with a remote gambling software operating license by the commission. It is part of our continued regulatory and technical compliance strategy and demonstrates that we are fast becoming the global player of choice for significant B2C gaming brands, which allows our current and the future UK licensed customers a complete array of UK certified gaming products to go to market with.”
Currently, Pragmatic Play has a portfolio that consists of more than 150 games with the content being supported in 18 languages. The licensing approval in the UK is just the latest movement by the company to gain a stronghold as a top provider of casino gaming content. In March, the company signed a deal with Mr Green Casino to use the original game catalogue of Pragmatic Play at their online casino.
