Manchester United will be aiming to extend their good run in the week 26 of Premier League when they host AFC Bournemouth on this March 4, at Old Trafford. Indeed, they will be keen to win this round.
Manchester United are coming into this game after lifting their fifth trophy in the EFL Cup final against Southampton on last Sunday night. Ibrahimovic was the man and scored twice, including scoring the winner three minutes from time, to secure the Red Devils defeat the Saints 3-2 at Wembley Stadium.
The Red Devils have been in superb form in recent weeks, they have a clean sheet in their last five games in all competitions. They have scored 14 goals and conceded 4 goals in the last six games in all competitions and they are currently at 6th place on the log with 48 points from 25 games played.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has no reason to rotate his men in this round. He hoped to do similar formation as they beat Southampton. Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Marcus Rashford are expected to start the line up to seek more goals in this Saturday’s battle.
Bournemouth on the other hand, they are coming into this game with a 2-1 defeat at West Bromwich in their last Premier League game. This weekend, they will extend their next Premier League at giants’ home ground. However, that will not be an easy task.
Bournemouth failed to win any games in their last five games so far. They have scored 7 goals and conceded 17 goals in the last six games in the Premier League campaign. They are currently at 14th place in the league table standings with 26 points from 26 games played this season.
The Cherries manager Eddie Howe has admitted he and his men are finding it tough to turn their recent poor form as they slip into a battle to escape the drop zone. However, he hoped to rotate his formation when his men face Mourinho’s side. A defeat this one will increase anger in the Cherries fan-base.
