Manchester City won 8-0 over Watford in the sixth week of the English League match which took place at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, Saturday (9/21).
Man City immediately opened the scoring through the first attempt at attack. not a minute before the game went on, David Silva managed to break into the Watford goal with a shot from close range after receiving a pass from Kevin de Bruyne from the right side.
Watford reacted by attacking and had a chance through Gerard Deulofeu, but in the sixth minute goalkeeper Ben Foster fouled Riyad Mahrez in the penalty box. Sergio Aguero did not waste the chance from the spot and put The Citizens 2-0 up in the seventh minute.
Entering the 12th minute Mahrez’s free kick broke into the visitors’ goal through a free kick that had hit Tom Cleverley.
Man City’s 3-0 advantage only lasted three minutes. The 15th minute Bernardo Silva gore the ball from a De Bruyne corner and deflected Aguero.
In the 18th minute Man City’s advantage was 5-0. Starting with Silva’s free kick, Aguero then released the bait into the mouth of the goal that was completed by Nicolas Otamendi.
After five goals were created in 18 minutes, Man City again exploited Watford’s defense. Some opportunities are created but no goals are created.
While Watford was unable to keep up with Man City’s game so they couldn’t build an attack that threatened the home goal.
Man City’s goal feast then continued in the second half. Only less than four minutes after the referee blew the whistle the second half began, Bernardo Silva gave Manchester Blue a half-dozen goals.
Bernardo Silva scored a hat trick in the 60th minute. Receiving feedback in front of goal, the Portuguese player changed the score to 7-0.
Man City’s dominance of Watford was able to be maintained by Pep Guardiola’s men. After failing to complete several opportunities, Man City scored again in the 85th minute through De Bruyne kick from inside the penalty box.
A score of eight goals without reply lasted until the game broke up. Man City now ranks second in the Premier League standings with 13 points, two points behind Liverpool.
