Ligue 1 champion Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly have stepped up their interest in Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger after he made it clear he wants to leave the Premier League at the end of the season.
According to reports, PSG are keen for the Frenchman to replace current sporting director Antero Henrique, who is under criticism.
Like his predecessor Patrick Kluivert, Henrique is not consentient after his first few months at PSG. At the club, some believe that the Portuguese has not achieved his goals.
For his part, Henrique is not satisfied either. While he was thinking of luring Chelsea boss Antonio Conte or Sergio Conceicao onto the PSG bench, the former FC Porto sporting director did not have a say when PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi imposed former Borussia Dortmund manager, Thomas Tuchel. As a result, the 50-year-old would feel threatened. And the rumor said that Wenger should not reassure him.
After announcing his departure from the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season, Wenger told he has no plans to retire from football, nor to become the manager of another club.
The 68-year-old, who still had a year remaining on his contract, broke the news to his shocked men at the training camp on Friday morning.
“After carefully consideration and following discussions with the club, I feel it is the right time for me to step down at the end of the season,” Wenger said.
“I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years. I managed the club with full commitment and integrity.”
“I urge our fans to stand behind the team to finish on a high. To all Arsenal lovers take care of the values of the club. My love and support for ever.” Wenger added.

The symbolic manager of the Gunners should rather put forward to the head of a selection after the World Cup 2018, or he could try a new challenge to a position of general manager, what the PSG could offer him.
Some Parisian management would indeed think to entrust him with the orders of the training center and the professional group. It must be said that Wenger is close to Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who has tried to sign him many times.
