Tennis News : Rafael Nadal is in a state of high spirits after he returns to the fun hunting ground in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi to take on the Mubadal World Tennis Championships this week.
World number 1 tennis player Nadal has only a few things that haven’t won world tennis after he claimed 19 Grand Slam titles, 35 Master 1000 titles, 20 ATP level 500 titles, and Olympic gold in 2008.
However, Nadal is still ambitious to achieve more than after he is eyeing the Mubadala World Tennis Championship title as a winner in his career and as a way to prepare for diving in a new season, including the ATP Cup in January.
“I have always enjoyed an extraordinary time and enjoyed every minute at this event,” Nadal admitted to Gulf News exclusively.
“This is a good way to start the new season and prepare for the ATP Cup. In previous seasons, this event became my way to enter a new season. “
With the additional battle between Maria Sharapova and Ajla Tomljanovic, Nadal believes this event will continue to grow and attract the interest of other big names in the tennis world.

“I am always happy because this event is better every season. I am sure there is no exception this season, “added Nadal.
Another event that caught Nadal’s attention in the 2020 season was the Olympics in Tokyo, a prestigious event which he recognized as a unique event among various sports.
“I really like the Olympics and have a good time at the last Olympics four years ago. That was certainly thanks to the victory that I won (Nadal won the double number gold medal with Marc Lopez after winning the single number gold medal in 2008), “Nadal added.
“I believe it to be a pleasant experience, to be in the same place as all other sports.”
