Real Madrid are reportedly demanding a fee worth €151m for Gareth Bale. According to claims from British media, Los Blancos are reluctant to let the player leave on this summer and are set to listen only to offers that will lead to an outright sale.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star Bale is content in the Spanish capital and intends to see out the reminder of his contract, which expires in 2022.
However, the Welsh international has no interest in leaving Santiago Bernabeu reports linking him with a move to Premier League clubs this summer.
According reports, that Premier League club Manchester United had established an interest in signing Bale on permanent for second time recently.
Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois recently claimed Bale had been nicknamed ‘The Golfer’ by his teammates and gave an insight into his relationship with the rest of the squad.
“The other night we had a dinner with the entire squad. But Bale and (Toni) Kroos did not turn up. They reckoned the dinner was too late at night. Bale had told us ‘I am not coming to join you, guys. I go to bed at 11’.” Courtois said.
Bale has managed 12 goals and six assists in 30 appearances so far, but is thought to be keen to step up his game as Real have fallen to nine points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona after defeat to Girona at the weekend.
“Bale seems to get the blame for everything that goes wrong at Real Madrid, which is unfair. If you look at his stats – 12 goals in 30 appearances this season – he is still performing, but he is the whipping boy for some reason. And, as a player, if you don’t feel appreciated, then you have to move on.” Manchestr United legend Dimitar Berbatov said.

“Where would he go? It’s a question of money first of course – I’m not sure Spurs can afford over £100m on a player – but Bale is a world-class talent who could play for anyone and it would be great to see him back.” Berbatov added.
