Real Madrid are interested in striker Luka Jovic next season. The Serbian star is a summer target as they look for a permanent back-up for Karim Benzema.
Contracted to SL Benfica, Jovic arrived at Frankfurt on a two-season loan in the summer of 2017. He has scored 18 goals in 25 appearances this season, and is one of the sensations of the competition. He is on loan from Benfica, where Eintract have the option to buy him for 12 million euros. He became a well-deserved red man in the Bundesliga.
His form has seen interest arrive from several clubs, three of them being Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Jovic is in line with Real Madrid’s needs. He is young, his ability has been verified, and he has great potential. Jovic is very capable, can play multiple positions, run aggressively, cooperate well with teammates, and has excellent ability to play.
But Madrid will have to hurry though as Barcelona and Bayern Munich are interested in the striker, who is mobile, versatile and can finish well. Los Blancos are looking for a young striker to replace Benzema when necessary.
At the beginning of the season, the German transfer market website only gave Jove a price of 2 million euros, but now it has soared to 40 million euros.

After Cristiano Ronaldo left to Juventus, Madrid has been looking for a striker who can cooperate with Gareth Bale. Before they considered Edinso Cavani and Lewandowski, both players have passed 30 years old.
Barcelona on the other hand, are seriously considering prospects to replace Luis Suarez. Former Liverpool star has been an incredible servant for the Catalan giants. But, the striker is now an ageing profile and would need at least a quality alternative, if not an immediate replacement, judging by his slow start to the 2018-19 season.
Bayern could also appeal to Jovic, who seems to be thriving in the Bundesliga. There is no update however, whether there is a clause in the loan deal that allows Frankfurt to buy the 21-year-old outright from SL Benfica during the period of the loan.
