On Sunday (14/01/2024), Real Madrid won the 2023/2024 Supercopa de Espana title after beating Barcelona with a score of 4-1 at Al-Awwal Stadium, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This victory brought Real Madrid to make amends for their defeat in the previous season’s final.

The situation became more difficult for Barcelona after Araujo received a second yellow card in the 71st minute, causing him to be sent off. Even though Barcelona created several chances, Madrid remained strong at the back.
Vinicius Junior scored his goals in the 7th, 10th and 39th minutes, making him the first player to score a hat trick in El Clasico in just 39 minutes in the 21st century.
With a 4-1 win over Barcelona, Real Madrid confirmed themselves as champions of the 2023/2024 Supercopa de Espana. This result was a revanchist after the defeat in the previous season’s final.
