Real Madrid’s players trained in front 10,000 fans at the Alfredo Stefano Stadium on Sunday. Zinedine Zidane’ men admitted they had great excitement when training with fans.
“We finished the year well. We had a good rest and now we have to return. We have to take away the good things that were done this year, but this continues, and we have to start 2020 well.” Casemiro said.
“Training with the fans is very nice because you’re closer to the fans. Many things go through your mind when you train at the Di Stefano, I remember when I played here with Castilla. I wish for a healthy year for all as well as titles and victories.” Casemiro added.
Meanwhile, Marcelo is hoping that in 2020 he will get full fitness and return to play with Los Blancos. The Brazilian has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in his left soleus. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
However, Marceloa believed the training session was special because Madrid’s players could interact with fans and children.
“I ask for health and successes for this year. I’m feeling very good and continuing my recovery. I now have to wait a little longer to get back on top.” Marcelo said.
“This training session is special because we’re closer to the fans and especially the children. They’re always very affectionate with us and we want to be close to them. The first thing I ask for this year is health, which is the most important thing, and successes. We are always grateful for the life we have.” he added.
Madrid, whose last match was a 0-0 draw with Celta Vigo on December 23, will return to Spanish La Liga action after their winter break when they visit Getafe on Saturday.
