Portugal national team striker, Joao Felix, admits that he is comfortable at Chelsea. He even said his playing position with The Blues -nicknamed Chelsea- was different from his home club Atletico Madrid. So, is Joao Felix giving the code to make it permanent by Chelsea?
As is well known, Joao Felix is one of the players brought in by Chelsea in the 2023 winter transfer market. Felix was brought in on loan until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
Together with Chelsea, the 23-year-old player has collected two goals in seven matches in the 2022-2023 Premier League. Most recently, Felix scored a goal when the Blues were held to a 2-2 draw by Everton last Sunday (19/3/2023).
Now, Felix admits that the position he plays at Chelsea is different from when he defended Atletico Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo’s compatriot in the Portugal national team even openly said he was happy to be at Chelsea.
“The position I play in, and the way I play at Chelsea is different to Atletico Madrid. Obviously I have more freedom to play my football style to be the best to help the team,” said Joao Felix, quoted from Metro, Wednesday (22/3/2023).
“I feel happy playing here. It’s just a matter of getting the result and it will be perfect.”
Furthermore, Joao Felix said that he was very comfortable at Stamford Bridge. He considered Chelsea to be a very big club with very good people.
“But I’m comfortable here. This club is huge, it’s amazing, everyone behind the club is so nice. So, I’m happy to be here.”
However, until now there has been no indication that Chelsea will make Joao Felix permanent. It will be interesting to look forward to whether Felix will become a permanent member of the Blues in the upcoming 2023-2024 season.
