Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca spoke about the possibility of being called up with the senior national team.
Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique named his first Spain squad since returning as head coach, and he even revealed that these 24 players would be the ones he would choose.
There were some surprising inclusions, such as Roca and Eric Garcia, while others were rewarded for a good season in 2019/20.
“You don’t have to say anything to Luis Enrique on my part because what I have to do is work hard every day so that everything arrives, God willing,” Roca said.
Roca is not seeking a move away from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window despite speculation surrounding his future.
“We are a great family here; they have welcomed me very well. We know that we are a rival to beat.” Roca said.
“Goretzka and Kimmich have given me their hand and have helped me in everything I need; they are leaders. On the field you see, I really want to play by their side,” Roca added.
Bayern will look to complete its quest for another trophy in the Club World Cup on Tuesday. The Bundesliga giants will take a deep and powerful squad with them to Qatar.
“We did not feel the pressure, although we really wanted. We have not talked much about it, we are thinking about the game we have on Friday against Hertha Berlin. When we play in Berlin we will focus on the Club World Cup to try the title and the sextete.” Roca said.
The German side defeated Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League final and completed the triple crown for the second time in their history.
In the recent course, Hans-Dieter Flick’s men have reached two other trophies : the European Super Cup, after getting rid of Sevilla, and the German Super Cup, by doing the same against Borussia Dortmund.
