The sad news was announced by Cristiano Ronaldo through his personal Instagram account on Tuesday (18/4/2022). No doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo’s unpleasant moment sparked sympathy from the football public, including Manchester United. Through its official website, Manchester United announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will miss the match against Liverpool at Anfield Stadium. Manchester United did that as a form of respect for Ronaldo who was in a state of mourning.
Although Ronaldo was absent from the match, it did not stop the sympathy given by Liverpool fans to provide support.
