Rossi’s success story in leading the Italian national team to win the 1982 World Cup clearly gives pride. At that time, he recorded six goals throughout the tournament, where his hat trick against Brazil is the most memorable.
At that moment, Rossi managed to bring Italy to a 3-2 win over Brazil in the 1982 World Cup group stage. But, more than that, Rossi’s achievements made Italy proud.

He was the top scorer in Serie B (Italian League caste 2) which at that time managed to bring Vicenza promotion to the Italian League in the 1976-1977 season. He also became the top scorer in the Italian League the following season.

The family represented by his wife, Federica Cappelletti, thanked the presence of thousands of mourners in Vicenza, Italy. Before being buried, the late Rossi was placed at the Romeo Menti Stadium, Vicenza and was attended by a number of people who were grieving.
