Selangor Red Giants Esports and OG Esports Announce Global Strategic Partnership!

Selangor Red Giants Esports (SRG) and OG Esports (OG) have announced a global strategic partnership aimed at increasing their engagement and impact in Asia-Pacific (APAC). The initiative includes an in-depth exchange of expertise and resources, as well as significant joint branding efforts.

A key element of the collaboration is the joint branding of Selangor FC’s esports division, the Selangor Red Giants Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) team. After making history by becoming the first Malaysian team to win MSC 2024 and winning back-to-back MPL MY titles, SRG will now compete under a joint name with OG Esports. The collaboration aims to leverage the global influence and recognition of both parties.

This partnership is not just limited to branding. Both organizations will share expertise in technical, media, merchandise, and marketing. With this, SRG and OG are committed to spurring the growth of esports in the APAC region, creating innovation, and strengthening their presence in the increasingly competitive esports landscape.

This strategic partnership is also aimed at expanding the fan base of both organizations, especially in the Dota 2 and MLBB communities. OG Esports’ success on the global Dota 2 stage, combined with SRG’s rapidly growing influence in APAC, is expected to create a synergy that will attract the attention of esports fans in the region.

Simon Lim, SRG Team Director, expressed his enthusiasm, “We are very excited to begin this strategic partnership with OG Esports. This is a significant milestone for SRG, allowing us to leverage OG’s global expertise and resources in enhancing our MLBB team and expanding our reach globally. We are confident that this collaboration will provide great value to fans and the ever-growing esports community.”

Meanwhile, Dan Sanders, CEO of OG Esports stated, “The partnership with Selangor Red Giants is a great opportunity for OG to deepen our relationship with the dynamic esports scene in Southeast Asia. We are excited to share our expertise and collaborate on various exciting initiatives, starting with the co-branding of the SRG MLBB team. We believe that this partnership will be a strong platform to engage with fans while driving growth in the region.”

This collaboration underscores SRG and OG’s shared commitment to driving innovation and growth in the global esports arena. Fans can look forward to many exciting developments coming from this partnership in the coming months.
