One of the mainstay defenders of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Sergio Ramos is said to be starting to consider leaving his current team. The options mentioned regarding the new Sergio Ramos port are Saudi Arabia and the United States.
As is well known, the winter transfer market will soon close on January 31, 2023 tonight. A number of clubs continue to manoeuvre to bring in new players to add to their strength.
According to the Football Espana report, quoted on Tuesday (31/1/2023), Sergio Ramos is reportedly considering a future transfer offer to move to Saudi Arabia or the United States this year. However, it was not stated which club was meant.
Previously, Sergio Ramos had been linked with a move to the Middle East to join former Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr. This could happen if he chooses to leave Les Parisiens -nicknamed PSG- at the end of the 2023 season.
It is known, his contract at PSG will expire at the end of the 2022-2023 season. Where, PSG reportedly will not activate the contract renewal clause, even though Sergio Ramos’ condition returned to fitness in 2022.
Initially, it was believed that the 36-year-old would remain in Paris until the end of this season. However, there are reports that Sergio Ramos could leave PSG before his contract expires.
On the other hand, according to a report by Mundo Deportivo, Sergio Ramos’ representatives are in talks with clubs from Saudi Arabia and the United States. The former Real Madrid player is also reportedly considering his next steps.
Meanwhile, other news reports that Serhio Ramos is determined to win the Champions League title for PSG this season. In which, he rejected the possibility of leaving this January, because his high salary could be a stumbling block to stay in Paris.
