Simona Halep, who has struggled to get back to her best after suffering a number of injuries, shared the happy news when she released her single life with her boyfriend, Toni Iuruc.
The two held their wedding in Romania on Wednesday (15/9) local time surrounded by their family and friends. Halep and Iuruc have been in a relationship since 2018, but they publicly acknowledged being a couple for the first time in July 2019 at Wimbledon. Since then, the two have been seen together on a number of occasions, but they have indulged in their relationship to become the target of journalists.
The Romanian tennis player shared her wedding plans with the media a few days before her wedding took place.

Iuruc is a well-known businessman in Romania and he owns many businesses. Born in Macedonia in 1979, he grew up in a family that also ran its own business. Along with other businesses, he also owns a real estate business with his mother, Genica Iuruc. He was married twice, but both ended in divorce.
Confirming their second marriage, Halep’s coach, Darren Cahiil, tweeted his congratulations.
“Today )15/9) the official signing of the marriage between Simo and Toni in Romania. Congratulations and a warm hug to you both. Awesome couple. Happy celebrating with your family and friends”” wrote Cahill.
Videos showing the two enjoying their special day have been widely shared by Romanian fans on social media. The former world number 1 looked elegant in a wedding gown and both looked fabulous.
Meanwhile, after losing to Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, who is also married to French tennis player Gael Monfils, in the fourth round of the 2021 US Open, the 2019 Wimbledon champion may return to action in Indian Wells.
Since suffering a left calf injury during the second round of the Italian Open in Rome against Angelique Kerber, the player who has won two Grand Slam titles has not been able to find the best form.
Although she performed quite well in the Rogers Cup, Montreal, Simona Halep was overwhelmed against Danielle Rose Collins in the opening match. Even in Cincinnati, he was forced to withdraw from the duel against Jessica Pegula due to a thigh injury.
Regardless, Halep will be celebrating a new chapter in her life with Iuruc in the near future.
