Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was irritated because his team again failed to get full points in the 2021-2022 Italian League continued match, against Torino. Inzaghi regretted the draw because now Inter are under AC Milan and Napoli in the Italian League standings.
Of course, Inter’s opportunity to win is still wide open. To achieve that title, Inzaghi also asked his players to refocus and aim for victory in the remaining matches.
Yes, Inter drew 1-1 with Torino in week 29 of the 2021-2022 Italian League at the Torino Stadium, Monday (14/3/2022). In that match, the home team managed to take the lead through Gleison Bremer in the 12th minute.
But Torino’s victory in front of the eyes had to disappear in the final minutes of the match. Because Alexis Sanchez managed to create an equaliser in the 90+3 minute.
After the match, Inzaghi said Torino appeared aggressive in the first half especially their goalkeeper Etrit Berisha made two important saves. But he explained that his team had the momentum to create an equalising goal, so they deserved a draw.
“Torino were more aggressive in the first half, but Berisha also made two amazing saves. We came with the right momentum, deserved an early equaliser and if we did, then we might have won,” said Inzaghi.
While Inzaghi said if Inter are to retain the title, they will have to do better to get the win. He explained a lot of teams have been trying to take their place at the top and it will be an interesting season. “We know that to win the Scudetto again, we have to do more and take a different approach to this match,” continued Inzaghi.
“There are many teams who are challenging to be at the top of the table and it will be an interesting season,” he added. For your information, Inter are currently in third place with 59 points and have one game to spare. AC Milan is at the top with 63 points which means there is a four-point gap between Inter and their city rivals.
