Singapore ‘best chance’ for Red Bull Formula 1 victory: Daniel Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo, the Formuala 1 Australian driver for Red Bull, was penalized for changing engine component for in his last race at Monz. A splendid show was put on the Italian circuit, Monza by the Aussie driver of Red Bull. It was a great performance as he started 16th and finished at 4th, even though the circuit does not suit the Red Bulls Formula 1 car, RB13.

However, Ricciardo is very positive about his Singapore Race at Marina Bay even after grid penalty at Monza. According to him, Singapore offers “best chances” for Red Bull Formula 1 winning opportunity.

Ricciardo was a runner up in the last year race. Nico Rosberg finished in less than half of a second earlier, before Red Bulls Aussie could sweep the victory.

“I believe Singapore won’t be our only chance but is one of our best chances of a win in the second half of the season,” said the Red Bulls Aussie.

“I’ve started second and finished second at this track in the last two years, with fastest lap both times, so my aim this year is definitely to start on pole and try to go one better in the race.”

Ricciardo has been consecutive in its second position for the last two years. But, he has to come-up with something better to beat the competitor’s heat of ‘half a second win’ this year and sweep the victory for Red Bull Formula 1 team.

“You have to build up speed a little slower in the practice sessions on a street circuit like Singapore. At some point you have to start taking risks but to do that straight away doesn’t make sense.”

“I always prepare for the race with some acclimatization training. You feel the heat when you’re in the car, but when you stop after the race and the adrenaline decreases you feel it even more. After the race I will easily sink five litres of water to rehydrate before I go to bed.”
