Soon to join Liverpool, Darwin Nunez is sure it won’t be difficult to score goals in the English League

Liverpool will soon get Benfica’s young striker, Darwin Nunez. Even so, some parties doubt Nunez’s ability to score goals in the Premier League which is claimed to be the best competition in the world.

However, veteran Benfica striker, Adel Taarabt, does not think so. He considered, Nunez would have no problem scoring goals in the Premier League.

As is known, Nunez will be Liverpool’s new recruit in the summer transfer market of 2022. The Uruguayan player was redeemed from Benfica for a fantastic fee, which is 75 million euros which can be 100 million euros for an additional fee.

The high price was agreed because Nunez appeared extraordinary last season with a collection of 34 goals and four assists. In fact, he once scored against Liverpool in the Champions League and received direct praise from Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp.

“100 percent there will be no trouble (scoring goals in the Premier League). He has shown that in the Champions League, you could see the two games against Liverpool and he was outstanding. Even after the second leg, Klopp came straight to him and said how great he is,” said Taarabt, quoted from Talksport, Tuesday (14/6/2022).

“He has scored 34 goals this season. Six of them in the Champions League, namely two goals against Barcelona, Bayern Munich and two against Liverpool. And he’s only 22 years old, so the most important thing is that he keeps his head focused.”

Furthermore, Taarabt assesses, the only obstacle Nunez at Liverpool is language. However, apart from this, the former Tottenham Hotspurs player is very confident Nunez will succeed in the Premier League. “I think the only problem that could happen to him at Liverpool is the language barrier.

But, he really helped the team. He works really hard, he is fit, if you look at his body, he is a real athlete. He is a machine, so for me in the Premier League he will definitely score goals.”
